How do I know if I am getting Star Rebate? Coop
I live in a Coop, so I don't pay my property taxes, they are built into our monthly maintenance payment and we get a stub at the end of the year.
I had sent in an application for Star rebate after we moved but I Faxed it in literally on the deadline - never heard anything about it.
How do I know if I am receiving the star rebate?
Our coop recently sent out a note stating some people weren't getting the discount but didn't list who.

You can call the town (if in Suffolk) or the County (if in Nassau). Give them your section/block/lot description and they can tell you.

You did it for last year? We're in Town of Hempstead and we did it on last year's deadline and found out a few months ago that it was approved. It doesn't come off until our January mortgage though.

I agree and then my maint statement will show the adjustment for the staar

The adjustment shows in our maintenance bill every month. We are in a co-op as well.

Probably the easiest way is to call your coop's managing agent and ask them. But you should also see any deductions on your monthly statement.
