How do I potty train DD in 3 days?
DD is 27 months old & I'm ready to devote the next three days to potty training boot camp. She's been sitting on her little potty for months now (not really going on it though) and she knows what "big girl pants" (panties) are & what pull-ups are. She knows that her older friends don't wear diapers anymore & that diapers are for babies. I'm getting the Potty Power video from the library today and I've bought a ton of princess & Elmo panties for her. I've ordered a potty seat for the big toilet too. We read all the books with her.
Now what??? I googled "Potty train in 3 days" and found a ton of e-books available for $25 on-line but figured I could probably get the same advice from the BTDT moms here.
Do I literally just "throw away" the diapers tomorrow and go to big girl pants (panties) and stick her on the potty every 20 minutes? Help!

My DD is 27 months too and I need help. I don't really know where to begin. I have a lot of time to help teach her though. Good luck to you!

We've been doing it much more gradually (my fault through laziness and the baby - I had intended to train her over the summer).
Ella (28 months) has been using the potty on and off for a few months, but I haven't pushed it. Only in the last few days has she rejected wanting to wear a diaper, so I'm trying to go full throttle now since she seems ready.

Dr. Phil has a method of training your DC in less than a day. I saw his special on Channel 7 a few years ago. He went into a home and within a day he was able to train an especially difficult child. It was amazing... Here's a link to his method:

I guarantee that method would never have worked with DS. We tried very similar techniques for months. He is very stubborn, and refused until HE was ready.
