How do I tranfer my itunes library to my new laptop?
I just got a new laptop and DH was able to get itunes onto the new laptop using my ipod. When I open the new itunes, it says that my ipod is synched to another library and asks if i want to delete everything on my ipod and start over! nooooo!!!! is there a way for me to just get it to accept everything on there now?

Are you using senuti? It's a great program to download that helps you get your songs off of your iPod onto your new computer.
Or are you trying to use the disc mode method? You would have to take the folder of songs from there and transfer it into your library...I did that a looong time ago though. Go on youtube and search for tutorials on this- this helped me alot! And LIF people as well with their suggestions!

DH and i ended up buying an external hard drive and transferring the songs that way. the only bad thing is that i wasn't able to "save" the playlists i had created myself. i need to re-create them on this laptop. in retrospect, i should have put those playlists on CDs and transferred them that way.

I have the same problem. It's a real pain in the azz. You will have to copy all of your songs (except purchased from itunes) to cds and put them on the new computer or just take the original cds and put them on that way.

if it is on your i-pod I hav a wa to transfer your librar from your i-pod to you new lap top. let me know I cand give step by step instructions

yes please! step by step instructions would be awesome! i reallyyyyyyyy dont want to have to save them all to a cd! i was hoping this would be quick and painless lol!
