Hopefully you didn't pay for a job that wasn't complete.

Tell him that if he wants to get paid, he needs to complete the job to your satisfaction. Just be honest and show him the problems.

If you paid already, tell him you will ruin him through posts on every board you can find.

Good Luck

This is a good idea. It worked for me when we had to threaten Harris Floors.

Why don't you just be honest with him and tell him you are not happy with the job??. Didn't you check it before he painted?

I'd have him come sand the area again and fix it. I'm sure he wouldn't give you a problem.

its definitely way more obvious with paint!! even if you look at it, you can't always tell how many imperfections there are. definitely give him a call and just say you think a little more sanding is needed, and would like them to stop by. good luck!! Chat Icon

We went through this with our painter. Start out calm and explain that more sanding is needed. Show him the area you're concerned about and hopefully he'll fix it. Don't pay him until you are satisfied. We witheld money from our painter until he finished the work - I'm sure that if we had paid him outright he never would have fixed his mistakes.

Just call him nicely and tell him the truth. That you noted some issues with their work and that you need to come and see for themselves.

Then ask them to fix it.

Usually there is a crack if they did not use tape or it was not done properly.

I agree to start out calmly and have him come take a look at it. Insist that it be fixed and don't pay him until he fixes it! GL!
