Do you mean taking pictures or someone taping you teaching?

recording
Thats a violation. I would be very angry. Why is this being discussed as something schools want to do?

I think it depends on the reason for the recording...

Re: How do you as a teacher feel about...
I have dealt with kids making crazy accusations and parents who insist that their kid is an angel when he/she is anything but. As a teacher, I don't know if I'd be too bothered because of the protection for ME from situations like that. I write my lessons plans and do my job; I have nothing to hide.
However, I should add that this is my *choice*. If it were mandated, then I would feel very differently.

Okay, if we're talking about an outsider coming in to record, then no way!

we are talking about having cameras in the classroom recording everything happening. Not someone sitting there.

Re: How do you as a teacher feel about...
My husband and I were talking about this, this morning. I don't like.I feel like there is too much big brother as it is. In my district they are trying to turn us into robots, we have to teach lock step and they tell us when to test etc. I am hating it. I feel like the camera is a violation of my civil liberties BUT if it was just images and no sound then I might not have as much of a problem with it as I do now. It would definitely change how much I joke with the kids though.
