How do you bathe your 1 year old

I know it probably sounds like a silly question. But for a while we did not have a tub so LO was in a baby bath tub probably longer than he should have been. Now we have a tub and I use the bath ring so that he can sit and play but still is contained. I feel like he should be set free for his age but he always wants to stand up. I feel like he doesnt realize yet that it is slippery.

What do you do?

We have a bath mat that gives traction and makes it less slippery.

We have been bathing DS in the tub (alone) since he was able to sit up unassisted (6 months).

i put both my girls 11 months old in the tub together, we have a cushy mat on the bottom to help preven slips, they like to stand too

DS is 18 months in a blow up bath in the tub still. I tried putting him in the tub alone for a month but he freaked out and wouldn't sit. Last night I brought the blow up back and he was happy again.

I have a mat that suctions to the tub. She wants to stand and move around bbut I am constant and stern "sit down" and make her sit. I think she is getting the point. I think you just have "mean business" and teach her to sit in the tub
