How do you celebrate Ctholic Easter with your DC? What do you do?
I am an Orthodox Christian, so is DD. My DH is Catholic so we celebrate both Easters (as we do 2 Christmases) How do you celebrate Catholic Easter with your child(ren)? What are the things you do?
Thank you

We go to mass and then we have a big family dinner on Easter Sunday. We have painted eggs, egg hunts and the Easter bunny hides baskets for them.

my dh has a small family, and my dad lives in Florida and my mother is jewish...so, we usually go to Mass that morning, and then to Westbury Manor for their easter egg hunt and bunny and animal farm, its ADORABLE..and the dinner is wonderful ;)
(maybe im partial to the place because we got married there lol)

We go to mass on Easter. Paint eggs (beforehand) and then the Easter bunny hides them in the house and we hunt for them Easter morning. The Easter bunny leaves baskets with candy and sometimes a small gift. We always have a nice breakfast. Then have a big dinner with family, either at our house or a relatives.

most things are pretty normal dying eggs on holy saturday we bake bread- the kind with the hard boiled eggs in it, and then the kind with every salty meat... that's in anticipation of breaking the fast of Lent. of course Easter Baskets.
of all those things, the most important tradition is the saturday bread baking- we've dont it since I was a little girl and I am totally going to keep it up.
this easter vigil (holy saturday) john (my husband) is getting baptized and i'm getting confirmed, so my whole family is going to be up, and it's gonna be a very special time.

This is what we do too. Once DD gets older, she'll participate in the masses during holy week as well, and I did.

This sounds so special. We went to the Easter vigil a few years ago when DH was confirmed (before we got married). I have to say it was probably the most beautiful mass I've ever been to (the longest, but the most beautiful).
