How Do You Clean bottles?
We run them in the dishwasher (after the first initial sterilizing we did with them). We have the BPA-free bottles, but now I heard somewhere that you're not supposed to put even those in the dishwasher. What are you supposed to do then?

I wash my bottles with hot soapy water and boil the nipples to sterlilize them about every week

i throw my advents & dr browns in the dishwasher or i wash em in hot soapy water.
I've used my sterilizer once...

I wash them by hand with hot soapy water. Then about 2x a week, I sterilize the nipples in boiling water.

On the package there should be instuctions on how to clean, and if they are dishwasher safe.
We used Dr. Browns and always put them in the dishwasher.

I rinse them quick in the sink and then put them in the dishwasher.

I handwashed them then sterlized them when DS was for born. After 5mths I started to put them in the dishwasher.

I was handwashing my dr. browns and putting them in the DW once a week to give them a good sterilization, but stopped the DW when all of those reports came out. I was just thinking how I want to put them in the DW again because I really felt it got them cleaner, but I'm not sure if I should. The instructions that came with the bottles say it's ok, but then there were those reports.  I'm still not sure what to do.

Me either! That's why I asked, b/c I have no clue. Not to mention, I have the Medela bottles, which are BPA-free, so why would it hurt for them to be in the dishwasher? But I read in Parenting magazine that you still shouldn't put them in, even the BPA-free bottles!  But I want them as clean as they can be!
