I use the swiffer mop for dusting and then to get them clean I use the Method mop, bought it at Target.

vacuumn with a soft bristle head; wash weekly with water and white vinegar; spot cleaning... the swiffer.

For those that use water & vinegar, how often do you change the water? Do 2 rooms then change the water?

Also, I thought the steam mop wasn't supposed to be good for the poly on the floor. Or did I misunderstand??

As long as your floors are sealed, you can use the steam mop.

my mom swears by white vinegar and water (after it's swept). I think it stinks, but it doesn't pull up or wear out the varnish.

I bought the Shark steam mop today & just used it for the first time a few minutes ago. I am amazed & LOVE it!! Our floors were covered in spackle dust from sanding the past few days & now they're all shiny again! My normal routine was just sweeping & then using the Swiffer wet mop, but now I'll be adding a steam clean to the mix once a week

I have one of the steam mops (can't remember which one)

And - I'm not sure what my cleaning people use but my floors look fabulous when they leave!

We use the Omop from Method with the Good for Wood. For dusting, I use the swiffer. There are also cloths that you can buy for the Omop too but I haven't found them yet.

I vac first with the brush attachment.
Once every other week, I do use a wet swiffer with mop. I try not to do it too much, b/c it can leave a wax buildup.
I also sometimes spray BRUCE Hardwood floor cleaner on a dry cloth and clean like that; or spot clean with ammonia-free Windex, which someone at Long Island Paneling told me to do, and it works on pergo or real wood floors like a charm.

First I vacuum or use the swiffer dust mop.
Then to clean I use the swiffer wet jet and cleaner for hard wood floors. Love it!!

I vacuum - but I use the wet swiffer once a month. I'm worried if I use it more than that, it will ruin the wood

I use a bruce cleaner with my dust mop no water

I went out and bought the Good for Wood yesterday. Thanks I love it!
