How do you clean your makeup brushes?
I tried cleaning my foundation and concealer brushes today because I noticed they weren't blending as well lately. No matter how much I tried to wash the makeup out of them, it just didn't seem to do anything. I used hot water and soap and then let them air dry, but when I went to go use them again they blended my makeup even worse.
Any tips on how to clean them well to make them work like they did when I bought them?

I use brushes from MAC and use baby shampoo to clean them. Works great.

I use Bare Escentual brushes and clean them with baby shampoo every two weeks or so.

Thanks girls! I have brushes from both BE and Sephora (I use the Sephora foundation brush and the Bare Essentials concealer brush) and I tried to clean them with hand soap and that did NOT work at all lol. I'll try baby shampoo tonight.

Yes baby shampoo, the lady at sephora tol dme this and it works so well.

Try this: put olive oil on a paper towel and then rub the brushes on that. The oil loosens the dirt. Then use baby shampoo to clean after.

Baby shampoo and lay them flat to dry (if you dry them upright the water can ruin the wood in the handles). If they're really dirty I use the Japonesque spray from Ulta.

Mac brush cleaner will remove all of the makeup almost instantly. I rinse them well and then air dry. The work awesome.

Shampoo and Conditioner. I use the Mac brushes and I believe they are goat hair and this is the best way to make them last, and keep the hair from falling out.

I use the brush cleaner from Smashbox and I follow the directions on the bottle. They come out gret but I replace brushes after a while anyway.
