How do you decorate the inside of your home for the holidays?
Can I see your holidays purchases to make your home pretty?
I just have my outside decorated as of now and I want to see how others decorate inside?

How do you decorate the inside of your home for the holidays?
I did pre lit garland around the TV cabinet and stuck starfish in it. The tree doesn't have decorations yet, I'm still debating if its worth the hassle with my 16mo DS LOL.

I have no pictures (yet) so I'll describe..
- Garland on the banaster of my house. It's a reg. plain garland which I've decorated myself.
- Decorative garland around the door inside of the house.
-Fireplace:
- Lit garland on the mantel w/our stocking hangers, 1 large wood reindeer on one corner and 3 large bronze candle holders on the other corner. Lit wreath with bow over mantel. 3 taper candles on mantel.
- Nutcrackers, snow globes, and other christmasy things in the book cases
- A wreath on each french door in the living room. A ladder with snowmen climbing up it (cvs last year) by 1 door and a standing stuffed snowman by the other.
- Decorative christmas bowl with real and scented pine cones in it on the coffee table.
Family room:
- Nativity and poinsetta plant on a table
- 2 decorate small metal christmas trees on the tv stand.
- christmas candle holder on tv stand too.
- I'll also put out christmas pillows once I find one's I like.
- Wreath on door.
Kitchen:
- Christmas kitchen towels, Gingerbread candle in garden window
Hallway:
- Christmas door hangers
Dining room:
- 3 metal reindeer and snowman plate on side table
- red bows and a few ornaments on the chandelier
- Caroler set on buffet with more taper candles and scented/real pine cones
- Flower/candle arrangement from Michaels on the dining room table.
Lets just say I spent WAY too much $ (like 300+) on Christmas decor this year. This is our first Christmas in the house.
I've shopped at Michaels, BJ's, Homegoods/Marshalls/TJ Max, Costco, Garden World, CVS/Walgreens and Big Lots.

It's like Christmas threw up in my house.
I have to seriously scale down so this year I will have:
Towels in bathroom/kitchen
banister garland
mantel scarf
tablescape on DR table
Nativity on DR buffet
Animated figures in LR window
candles in all other windows that face front
crystal ornaments hanging from chandeliers

Sorry - I can not be of much help.
We got a used one off of Craigslist. My DH installed it with his dad and then the town approved it.
I will say it has been AWESOME. Our common area has high vaulted ceilings and we could never get it warm without raising the heat to 75+. Now we are finally comfortable!
