How do you/do you attach a cover letter to a job that you have an account set up for online resume submission?

Do you/how do you attach a cover letter when applying for a job that you have an account set up that you apply through? For example, a large company that you dont know who the resume is going to, where you upload your resume for the position, and parts of your resume are picked up and automatically fill in on the application?And if you should attach a cover letter, and you can only upload one document in the online submission, do you just include the cover letter as page one of the document?

I know you sent me an FM about this based on where I work. I think I did attach a basic cover letter indicating the position I was interested in, with a "To Whom it May Concern"......

Sorry I didn't respond earlier.

Wish I could be more helpful, but I think the only reason I got a call for an interview, and ultimately the job, was because I knew the person retiring as well as the Director.

Good luck! Keep being persistent. I know they receive thousands upon thousands resumes to review.

My DH applied to the place that the pp works- I also fmed her a q. lol. There was a place for the separate attachment. However, when Icome across one that does not offer the ability to attach a separate one, I have a resume version with a cover letter on the next page. Abd if you were wondering, he did go two interview rounds ( phone and in person) but was not selected in the end.
