How do you girls buy shoes online?
I run between 8.5 - 9.5, for unknown reasons, and depending on the shoe.
I saw a pair I'd like to order, but am concerned it won't fit. Is there a trick?

I normally order a bunch of shoes at the same time from zappos, see which ones I want to keep and then return the ones I don't want (Zappos has free shipping both ways).

I also will order 2 sizes of one style shoe and send back the pair that doesn't fit. Love Zappos!

I read reviews and from there I can usually tell if they run bigger or smaller. I've only had to return shoes twice.

Always read the reviews.
This is what I do, I can generally figure out what size I need by reading the reviews.
90% of the time I buy from Zappos.

Ditto. I usually tend to stick with brands that I know the sizing of also.

This!!! If I can't try them on beforehand, it takes a GREAT deal for me to order online. I don't really like to order shoes online. I never actually get around to the return, so I wind up with too much!

I am yet to order a pair of shoes online without trying it on in the store first and not send it back because the shoes turned out to be not at all what the site promised they would be. 
So, now the only way I ever order shoes online is if I tried it on in the store first and a. love it and they didn't have my size or b. loved it but it was too expensive.

I can only buy on-line. Stores rarely carry wide widths.
Zappos is great-it is widely used, so there are usually decent reviews. I either buy 1 & rerurn & reorder if needed, or if I am really unsure, I buy 2 sizes.
I also tend to buy the same brands, so there is some consisitancy in the fit, but not always.
