How do you know if a recruiter/headhunter is legit?
Feeling a little foolish now but after posting my resume on Career Builder I applied to a staffing agency, and I received an email from another recruiting company, saying they received my resume from one of their affilates. It directed me to their website, to fill out the basic info. There was no request for information like SSN or anything and it looked okay so I filled it out but now I'm regretting it.
How are you supposed to know if this company is legit? I get so many emails from companies through Career Builder. Does anyone know any known, trustworthy headhunters? Thanks for any info.
