How do you know if you are leaking fluid?
Okay, I know I'm probably being paranoid, but things have been a little wet down there today.
More than usual.
I know during the day it was probably sweat from the velvet pants (see my previous PSA!!  )
But even tonight there seems to be a lot more discharge.
How do I tell if it's just CM, if it's sweat or if it's fluid?

The nurse in my doctor's office said if it smells funny (not like urine) you might be leaking. But she said 99% of the time it's urine.
If you think you are leaking, they can do a test in the office with this litmus paper to see if it really is amniotic fluid.

I know my books said this week there starts to be added pressure on the bladder, I just assumed if it were urine I would "feel" it, you know?
If it's still like this in the morning I'm goin to call the doctor.

Can I just add that in addition to now LOOKING at my toilet paper after wiping, I now SMELL it too?

I went to a prego class last week & the RN told us if it smells SWEET (not nasty), sort of fresh and she said also to notice the color. She said also if you are going through more then a pantyliner to be concerned & call your dr. Can't hurt to call.

I did the same thing all day today. I have crossed many boundaries I had not assumed I EVER would.
I feel your pain and sympathize.
After all this, I STILL dont know if I am or Im not.
One thing I read today was how RARE it truly is.
The fact a few of us got scared we were, kinda makes me think its semi normal. ( I HOPE!)

Ok... i sweat all day down there at work... i come home and im fine...as soon as i go to bed i sweat all night.. i actaully have to change bc im so sweaty! GROSS

This is gross but amnionic (sp) fluid smells like semen and it is a strong odor.

I will say that when I was leaking fluid with my son, it was a trickle and at first I thought it was urine, but then realized it wasn't because I was done peeing.

thats different though, thats when your water broke.

Not sure if you know what Leukorrhea is but it's extremely common during pregnancy -- and more importantly nothing to worry about.

thats different though, thats when your water broke.
Well, it didn't really break and was gushing out. It was just leaking for about 24 hours in the hospital before they actually induced me, gave me petocin and made it actually "break".

I get this a lot! I thought it was normal, but now you guys have me worried!!!
Is anyone else changing their pantyliners a few times a day? Mine aren't soaked or anything, but it just feels cleaner for me to change them often when they get a little wet.
Also, I notice it much more when I do more walking or anything else more active. Anyone else?

Exactly the same here.
Much worse when I'm active, but it could also be sweat.
