I was able to continue my usual jogs on the boardwalk a few times a week until recently (i'm 20 weeks) Now I try to just walk on the treadmill at the gym or the elliptical. I bought a pilates dvd but can't seem to bring myself to actually try it!!

Re: How do you ladies stay fit during pregnancy?
I'm far from fit since I have been sick and miserable throughout my pregnancy. However, I have lost weight everywhere except my belly. My face, arms, legs all look thinner. I think it will be easy to go back to my pre-pregnancy body...at least I hope.

Re: How do you ladies stay fit during pregnancy?
Me, the former gym addicted workout queen....goes, if I'm lucky, once or twice a week. I always admired the very pregnant ladies at the gym. I was soooo tired during the 1st tri that I never made it there. I may have used it as an excuse...much like my eating. I kind of liked being home early too.
So...my plan was to keep up cardio/weights at least 3-4 times a week. Now that I have after-school activities, I can't do that but I plan on keeping it up when this is over! Right now, working out is for the weekends. Just light cardio and easy weights.
I would like to get a prenatal video though...

Re: How do you ladies stay fit during pregnancy?
i walk about 3 miles a day (to work and back) - more if i have to run errands, go to a midwife appointment, or have class. i also do a few light exercises i found online that are meant to relieve pregnancy discomfort. my prenatal yoga dvd just came in (yay!) so i'll be starting that and later on in the pregnancy i want to start prenatal yoga classes (in person). they're just a bit pricey right now...

Re: How do you ladies stay fit during pregnancy?
I was far from a gym buff befroe becoming PG - but I always walked about 4 miles a day (to/from the train station - home, and to/from Penn to the office) and have continued to do that - Plus any running around I do in the city during lunch, and walking the dog over the weekend in the preserve - But that's all -

Re: How do you ladies stay fit during pregnancy?
I attempted to go to the gym throughout, and stay as active as possible, take yoga-- but there are just some days where I am so tired, I can't do anything. Now, on days even when I run a bunch of errands-- I feel like I was hit by a truck.
I am SO worried about what will happen after the baby is born. I am starting to feel so gross!
