How do you plan on telling the family?

i am out of state, and was hoping it would have worked out that i was when my parents came to visit, but... my cycle decided to last for 4ever once going off the pill, now we will be trying while they are here

My mother, brother, and grandmother are all life OOT. Once I definitly know for sure and all is safe I will probably send them shirts or something cute via mail to let them know.

My parents live in Florida and I could not imagine not telling them in person, so we will have to figure somehting out.

The rest of the family live oos also in another state, so them I will send something cute too.

We are just starting to ttc, but of course I think I about these things too.
My mom is oot but I would do this for dh's mom too. Maybe give them "World's Best Grandmother" frame and put a copy of the ultrasound photo in it.
Is that silly?

For my parents I plan on getting them "World's Best Grandma/Grandpa" mugs or tshirts

DH has to decide how to tell his parents

For my brothers I think I am gonna get bibs that say "My uncle loves me" or something cute like that.

Not really sure as all of my family is OOT. I am hoping to be PG by the time I go visit them in October bc I would hate to tell them any other way but in person.

I think for my IL's, we will do something cute with the sonogram or something

I don't know if I'm pg yet, so I guess this is jumping the gun. I guess it's only natural to think about these things. But I was thinking of having my family over and telling my four year old nephew to go into the room where everyone is and say out loud "I'm going to have a cousin!" My brother is the only one with kids so far.

As for telling my husbands parents, I was thinking of saying to them that "Dave says that I'm gaining weight(he's a personal trainer for a living and eats a pristine diet)... but I told him that's par for the coarse when your pregnant!" You would have to know my husband and how he busts peoples chops about what they eat, (it can drive you knuts).

We will probably invite both families over for dinner and then I think I'm going to have a dog shirt made up for Peanut saying "Im going to be a big sister" and then she will walk into the room and just see how long it takes for people to notice.

When it happens we will go to dinner at my ILs and my 4 year old DS will be wearing a shirt that says "I am going to be a big brother"

We will most likely do the same for my parents.

For friends and other family members that we only keep in touch with on Myspace I plan on making a video announcement and posting it on my page.

For my mother, I plan on getting her a card, like DEAR GRANDMA or something like that... signed from the baby!
