How do you test the bath water?
How do you test your DC's bath water?? My Mom uses her elbow...I can't do that...My arms are usually cold and that makes the water feel hotter then it really is...Right now I am using an old digital thermometer. Works for me..What temperature is the water???

I just make sure it doesnt feel super hot to me.(i stucknmy arm in) DS likes it warm/hot otherwise he is shivering. Those munchkin ducks stink! I put ut in barely warm water and it says HOT.

Re: How do you test the bath water?
At first I used an octopus that I have that says cool, warm and hot. Now, I can tell based on letting the water run and feeling the temperature.

Re: How do you test the bath water?
My baby nurse taught me to use my elbow-- and it's just always what I've done.

Especially for Baby Octopus Bath Thermometer
I like that...I tried to use my hand when DS was an infant, but the water was always too cold...I feel better using something that tells me what the actual temp is... My Mom thinks I am nuts!!! LOL.
For those who use a thermometer, what temp is the water usually?

Re: How do you test the bath water?
I use this
Its a real thermometer it doesnt just say "hot, warm, or cold". I usually make sure the water is between 95-97 degrees.

Re: How do you test the bath water?
We have this turtle that floats. It beeps if too hot or too cold. I put it in at the start to test the water, and then let dd stay in until it beeps. She is a fish. Use my arm too.

I have him too but it takes too long to show the temp IMO.
