How Does Anyone Ever Find Time to...
BD?
DH and I have not managed to during the 3 weeks since I got the go ahead. It probably doesn't help that our baby tends to take lots of cat naps during the day, and often doesn't sleep for any decent chunk of time.
Really, how does anyone ever fit this in? I'm thinking it's not happening until he's about 12.

Parents Magazine had an article last month about middle of the nights were the way to go.
Definitely easier when they're older & you're willing to park your kids in front of a TV.

I did not read the article, but we are definitely middle of the night people.
DH works nights anyway...so it works for us. He comes home at 2ish..so it goes on then.
Or...before he leaves for work during naptime.

Yeah, I've thought about middle of the night, after DSs feeding when he usually does fall deep asleep.
But, sleep is more appealing to both of us. Guess we're missing our opportunity.

Not really an issue for us. We make time to do it. Even if it is a quickie we try to make time for each other.

I completely agree. It's definitely a challenge now. Naptime on the weekends works pretty well. Or I find I have to get the energy to try before we go to sleep. I am usually so exhausted though.

You have to be willing to give up some of your sleep, either stay up later or get up before everyone else does

both kids are usually asleep by 8 so whenever we go to bed we muster up a little bit of energy to do the deed...

It was funny when I went to my doctor. She asked if I was set with birth control, and I was thinking, "Yeah--abstinence, will consistently work 100%!"
Ah, middle of the night it will probably be then. We are both too beat down after dealing with DSs witching hour, from 7-10 most nights. So I think we'll need a few hours sleep before attempting anything. It would also help if we moved DS to his room--just too weird BDing with him in the room, even if he's asleep.

Just wait. Now, you could let the baby cry for a few minutes. When the little bugger can run around and find you - it gets much more challenging.
