First two times we went, we paid up front and then our insurance company reimbursed us 80%. The last time we went, the office told us that we didn't have to leave any money. They would submit it, the check should come to them, and they will send us bill for the remaining 20%. If for some reason the insurance company sent the check to me, they told me to just put it in the mail to them.

Do you have dental insurance? If so then look on the website for in network drs.

I foudn some recomendations on here and then went to my insurance site and cross referenced.

Found an in network one and made an appt.
We go every 2 months because DS has a cavity due to the fact that he has an extra tooth and we are trying to keep it from getting worse.

My insurance covered 100% of the first visit (I might have had a co pay but dont recall) it was a cleaning, check up and x-rays.

They dont cover the flouride treatments we go for every 2 months but thats pretty inexpensive so I am not really concerned.

I found one that is in network with our dental insurance.

Cleanings are covered at 100% every 6 months. So far DS has been 2 times and we have paid nothing. (although they really aren't cleaning his teeth just yet)

I couldn't find a local pediatric dentist with my dental insurance, so I went to a pediatric dentist a friend recommended. I mentioned my insurance when i called and they said that they would submit the bill to the insurance and then it was paid in full by the insurance company.

We only have one in network and I would not go to him.
I just went to our Family Dentist and it went great!! And fully covered.
