Re: how does one handle changes in there lives without there mom being around
I just simply go on with alot and I mean alot of pain I still have my Dad who was and still is apart of my Mom. I have a terrific fiance' and two brothers, but without your Mom it is hard, but I don't know if any of you feel this way I became stronger within myself, mainly because I knew that is what my mom whould of wanted, but let me say this again there is not a day that goes by that I don't talk to her or think about her. She is what I am today..........

I just wanted to give you some hugs. I lost my dad not my mom and that was painful enuff so i cant even imagine what its like to lose a mom... i am sure that as you walk it always like the pain is there with you every second.. I am so sorry and altho I dont think it will ever go away somehow you manage it b.c we have no choice and ur mom would want you to be truly happy. try and focus ont he positive and take it one day at a time, allow urself to feel the pain, KNOW how much it truly hurts and sucks, and then keep going on with ur day...we are all here for you and so is ur family..im sorry for ur loss

I just tell myself this is what she would want me to do and try to stay positive
I basically have to go thru every adult milestone without her wedding, baby, house etc
it s u c k s
the wedding was ok- the house thing will be ok- but the baby thing is not something I am looking forward too with out having my Mom to help
I basically live in denial and cry from time to time

It's hard. When I found out I was pregnant I cried happy tears. Then I realized I couldnt go running and tell Mommy so I creid even harder. I just try to visualize her there as my personal cheerleader and Angel helping our baby grow healthy.

Many times I will go to the cemetary and talk to her about whats going on- just so I feel like I still am... It helps a little bit.

I cry sometimes and I talk to my sister because she feels exactly the same way sometimes.

I think I just have to believe that she knows. She knows about all the good the bad the whatever and I think that gives me the strength.
