How does the baby shower work?
I am assuming its the same as a bridal shower... that a close friend or family member throws it for you and its a surprise. Am I right? I mean, I loved my shower and I loved that it was a big part of the whole wedding thing and I didnt stress about it once because it was out of my hands.

I was not surprised....my sister arranged my shower and it was held at my MIL's house.

I think it is similar, someone close to you holds it.
My sister and mom are hosting mine, I know the date and that is it. I think they like to make everything else a surprise mainly because I hate surprises

Usually it is a surprise & it is thrown by someone for you. Unless you are in my family...then you have to do everything yourself all the time

No surprise for me. Its like you know its coming, DUH!
My mom and I think my MIL is taking care of it. More my sister actually.
Im also involved. Anything to help and make it easier and I dont feel stressed by it. Im enjoying it.
I was surprised for my bridal shower..I wouldnt lurk on my registry, nothing. I was good.

I wont be suprised for the bridal shower b/c i just knew i was having ne anyway. I didnt want to be suprised anyway. I know the date but wont be planning for anything.

Its so cute but Dh is actually the one who said he wanted to rent a place to hold my shower.  I was surprised that this tiem around he is getting so involved.
Like you I do not want to be involved...lets be able to put our feet up and relax :)

My Mother and my MIL planned the whole thing although they fought about a lot of stuff so kept asking me stuff anyway. But in the end it was wonderful.

I asked for it NOT to be a surprise.
There's enough surprising stuff that happens with pregnany, you know?? 
It's funny, because I was talking to my sister last night, who was my MOH and did all the wedding shower prep.
And she says to me "I thought I was in charge of this too, but mom is taking over!! I guess it's different when you aren't the designated go-to-girl!"
I thought that was funny.
