How early to test?

Last af was 6/13, next af due 7/12. I know it's too early to test but I've been so nauseous and crazy lightheaded. Then today my boobs are killing me. What's the earliest you would test?

Just to add a little background. My son turned 2 on may 22. It took my husband and I 13 months to conceive my son, no interventions. Now it's been 13 months since i stopped breast feeding. Have not been on birth control but not exactly "trying".

Re: How early to test?

Eh, I test way too early all the time. Maybe I just like peeing on stuff. I'd say try to wait til Friday, but I'd probably give up and get some cheapies and then turn it every which way to see if there's even a faint line. Chat Icon

Though I will say this, it's very early for those symptoms to point towards pregnancy- positive test or not. It's so cruel that early pregnancy symptoms resemble menstrual symptoms! Chat Icon

How early to test?

You can try POAS if you're using FRER as early as tomorrow which would be around 11dpo. I got my BFP 10dpo but don't freak out if it's BFN. Most women don't get a positive until around 12dpo.

Good luck

Re: How early to test?

Thanks everyone! I'm trying to hold out till the 12th at least. I don't actually think I'm pregnant but my husband is convinced i am. And two other people have said they think i am....both men as well.

BFN yesterday, still no af. My c section scar is killing me today though. Not a usual period sign, but who knows.

Re: How early to test?

Ok, so today is 2 days past the day af was due. I just tested with a dollar tree test and looking at it straight on it was a BFN. But i swear if i looked at it on an angle in material sunlight i could see a very faint line. I think I'm going insane! I guess I'll wait another day out two and treat again. I'm out of dollar tree tests but i have two cvs tests. Has anyone used them before?

I have been there girl. They call it line eyes if you have to twist and turn the test in different lights to see it. It sucks. I hope there is a line there, but if there was, you wouldn't have to strain to see it.

You are NOT alone in this struggle. Check out this Buzzfeed article. It's a slippery slope, but I can see faint lines on both those tests. Maybe you can try what these ladies did!
