how far along were you for the 1st appt?
I just called my OB today to get a first appointment after my BFP, but they won't see me until I'm 6-8 weeks along.
Is that normal. I had to ask for a nurse to call me back to tell me what I should and should not do.
I'm kind of annoyed - I expected to go right in after I found out.
the girl on the phone asked if I took a hpt, and when I said yes, she said well that would have been all we do anyway.
I'm figuring this is a bad sign.

Normallly, Dr's dont see you until 8 weeks...At least thats what they did at my OB office

I swore I wouldn't get neurotic about being pregnant.
I guess that didn't last very long!

So long as nothing is wrong, my doc sees you around 7 weeks. It is totally normal, don't be mad at them, your just excited, which is normal too!

The first time I was pregnant, they had me come in and took blood but then set the actual appt for 8 weeks.
The second time they did a little more b/c I had a MC the first time. They had me come in for my blood test, then come in the week after for an U/S, then I came back at 9 weeks for another U/S.

My first appointment was at 6 weeks for bloodwork. My second appointment was at 8 weeks for internal sonogram. I am really glad my doctor did the bloodwork at 6 weeks because I have low progesterone and she put me on supplements to help. I am now almost 13 weeks.

I found out I was pregnant at 3w5 days. My dr. saw me the same week. Then I went back at 7w and we scheduled an internal sono for 8w.

I'll be eight weeks at my first appointment, but I've been going back to the RE every week since having my first sono at six weeks to make sure my progesterone, estrogen levels are okay.

I didn't see my doc until I was 7.5 weeks, and I didn't have a sonogram until I was 12 weeks.
It's totally normal.

I think it is normal. When I called they would not see me until the 7 week mark. Got an internal sonogram at that visit to see the heartbeat, and then went back at 12 weeks to hear the heartbeat.

Mine sees you the second you test positive. I was actually 4 weeks when i had my first appt. But, that is definitely not the norm!

Same for me. I was almost 8 weeks at that first appointment.

Me too. Didn't even know I was pregnant till that visit! Let's just say that was one trip to the GYN that I will NEVER forget!
