How far in advance would you send invites for a memorial day weekend Christening?
Most people know about it, but just curious what you guys think. We have a big memorial day bbq at our house every year, so this is just right before that..I just don't know whats too late, and too early

By mid-April.
Only because it's a holiday weekend & people make plans.
Outside of a holiday weekend, I usually go with 4 weeks.

I usually try for 6 weeks in advance for a regluar weekend. For a holiday weekend I would try for 8 weeks.

i did 8 weeks for my christenng in may bec i know it is the season of christening, communions, etc

early as possible - seems many people are having events that weekend (not just bbq;s) i would also book all the things you need to book asap (not just location but entertainment, photographer, cake, etc.) This year its the busiest i have ever seen on that weekend.

Now.
We already have plans to go away Memorial Day weekend. I would think most people going away have already booked. If they are staying local, they could plan around your christening.
May/June are big months for graduations and vacations.

I sent out my invitations for my DS Christening like 10 weeks in advance and it is the begining of May. Just b/c May is such a busy month with communions/confirmations/graduations. I would send out your invites ASAP, b/c a lot of people go away that weekend or have bbq parties.
