How hard is it to ride a bike with a infant/toddler seat on it?
DH and I are considering getting seats/or a trailer and wanted to hear opinions.

Not that hard. You just need to get used to the extra weight on the back of the bike when you are getting on and off of it so you don't tip it over on accident.
Riding it is the easy part once you get going.

I agree withthe above poster. Riding is easy, but be careful when you stop or try to walk the bike. My bike has started to tip and its difficult to get back up. I am very careful getting on and off and in the beginning I used to avoid stops. It gets easier and I love it, especially because my 5 yr old can ride with us on his two wheeler.
ETA: I have a really lightweight aluminum bike so that may be why it tips so easily.

I love the bike seat. At first it's hard getting used to the balance and if there is wind....but once you get used to it, it's a piece of cake!!
My dad has the trailer, not sure how that is to handle.
But for me, I don't think I would feel as comfortable riding with the trailer.

There is a new type of bike seat now I have seen being used around here where the child seat can be put in front of you - like between your legs - you should check it out!

This one kind of freaks me out. I need to see what's coming in front of me. I know DD would block my view and that makes me weary of the "in front of you seats"

I ride with dd on the back - no problem - but she hates wearing her helmet- we think b/c the back of the seat is taller than her head and it pushes the helmet over her eyes. We probably won't ride with her this year again, hopefully next year she'll be taller and it will go better.
Kind of a long response to say "its easy as pie!"
