How long after m/c did you wait before ttc again?

For those of us that have had miscarriages, how long after your m/c did you wait before ttc again?

Was it for emotional or physical reasons, or both?

after my miscarriage my doctor told me i can start trying after i get my first AF...
but i switched doctors and he wanted me to wait 3 months... i didnt listen, but still am not PG.. and its been 3 months anyway..

all doctors have different time frames on when to start, and most of them say its mentally. and i see why now!

my advice is definitely wait for your first cycle..

i was 5 months when i had my mc...my doc told me either 6 months from when it happened or 3 cycles after...i thnk it was more of a emotional reason than medical...

My doctor told me we could start trying after 2 cycles.

I had my D&C 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I think I just got AF tonight...not sure because I have been bleeding on and off since the surgery but tonight it is really heavy.

I have a doctors appt tomorrow so I guess we will see...

I want to start immediately though.

I waited till I got my cycle back. AF came about a month after my D&C.

1st time I waited 1 cycle. because that is what the doctor recommended.

2nd time ... i took a 6 month break.. that was emotional reasons, I wasn't ready.

i was early on when i had my m/c- in week 5. we tried the next month and got PG- had a healthy baby boy.

I would wait until after your first AF to try.

I was having fertilty treatments - I started a new medicated cycle after I got my first period after the MC, which was about 5 weeks later.
I got pregnant again that cycle.

The Dr told me to try when I was ready. I miscarried naturally, not sure if that matters. We tried right away, and got pregnant after my first AF showed. After the mc I felt so empty...I wanted to be pregnant right away again. We now have a happy, healthy little boy!!

After my MC i started as soon as i got my first AF. MY doc said it was fine because it was early and i miscarried naturally. The suggest 2 cycles to let you heal mentally and phsyically and allow the lining to thicken again. I didnt get preg. till almost 5 months later. GL

Ladies, I'm so sorry for all of your losses

My doc told me that I could physically try after my 1st AF, but he recommended waiting 2-3 cycles for emotional reasons. This is my 1st cycle now (since AF) & I'm waiting to O...I think. At first I thought that I was all ready to go, but now I'm not so sure. My dh is raring & ready, but I'm back & forth...so I'm doing more of a "we'll see approach" this month...so I'm not keeping track of anything.

I started again right away. I didn't wait for my first AF. Since my m/c was natural & very early, my doctor said there was no reason to wait.

im sorry for ur loss. I had a MC a few months ago. I waited until now, i am still kind of waiting. we are going to no use protection and see what happens and then later if it doesnt happen b.f then try everything.

i would wait a few cycles. And its more medical b/c after a MC ur body doesnt always ovulate for a few cycles.

We are going to try again right away- I was thinking about waiting awhile but DH is pretty adamant about it. He wants to be a father so badly, and I feel bad that I have made him wait for so long (he's been saying he's ready since we were in our early 20's a decade ago!) Getting pregnant and losing it so quickly was tough on him, I think. I am a pretty strong person mentally, so I am not too worried about not being able to deal with another loss. I know it would be awful, but I know I can handle whatever happens....

Since I M/C early and naturally, there is no reason physically to wait....so I guess we will just see what happens!
