How long after you lost your mucous plug did you go into labor?
I know I am BTDT but I never lost my mucous plug with DS#1, I never had contractions or went into labor or anything like that, this pregnancy is a lot different.
So anyway, I just started losing it yesterday and I was wondering if this means that I am going to go into labor soon or do I still have awhile, is this any indication of when I will go into labor?

Within in a few minutes. I lost my mucus plug an than my water broke about 5 mins after. Contractions started about an hr after that.

GET OUT OF HERE, WHAT!? I am only 34 weeks and DEF, DEF, DEF not ready to have a baby this soon!
Do you mean after you lost the whole thing or when the pieces started to come out? Sorry for the TMI.

Mine started coming out slowly- in pieces- on like a Friday morning.
I had the baby that Tuesday.
I have also heard that it can regenerate so it doesn't have to mean anything either.

About 4 days. I lost it in pieces on Thanksgiving, and went into labor Monday morning.
It might not be your plug; it could just be some fun late-pg discharge. If it is your plug, it doesn't mean you're going into labor early. Like PPs mentioned it can regenerate.

never lost my plug but it does regenerate and my friend lost hers at 30 weeks and all 3 of her kids were late (40+ weeks)
so it doesn't mean anything

I heard anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks!!!
With 2 out of 3 of my kids - I had them later that day..but I heard that wasn't necessarily the norm!!

I was induced 2.5 weeks later. I don't think it means anything.

I started losing it on thursday morning and lost it all by that afternoon. I thought I was also leaking fluid so I went to the hospital at 12am friday morning and started having contractions about an hour and a half later.
ETA: I was also 39 weeks and 6 days, plenty of women lose it earlier and dont go into labor for weeks
