And...Can i put it in the fridge to reuse if it is out at room temp for a while and he dosnt take much of it? (lets say he only drinks an ounce of a 5-6 oz bottle)

I did put back the milk and just made sure I used it for the very next feed!

i always smeleld it or tasted it before dumping - i would leave it out for a few hours and then put it back in fridge -even if he drank some
i always gave at the next feeding or used for cereal

I leave out a fresh bottle when DD goes to sleep in case she wakes up over night. She is STTN so I will still use it 12 hours later. I always smell it first and never had an issue.

I kind of stick to the 4 hour rule too. Our house is cool this time of year so if I pump, I will leave it out until she eats to mix w/ her food. Once she drinks from it, I toss it b/c I worry about bacteria growing in the saliva.
