How long can milk stay out of the fridge??

How long can milk stay out of the fridge??
My DD just turned 1 and we are transitioning her to whole milk. We always used powdered formula at room tempurature before, and if we went out we just combined it when she was ready to drink. Now if we go out- what do I do????
Do I bring the milk in her diaper bag- and there is a certain time limit, like I have to throw it out if she hasn't used it in an hour?
Do I give it to her if it feels cold to touch?
Is there a special bag you guys use to keep the milk cold?
I feel so silly not knowing this- but I don't want her to get spoiled milk!

I put it in a bottle bag with an ice an ice pack.

I always heard 2 hours for any food to stay out at room temp. AFter that I'd toss it.

I usually just get milk on the run. You can always find it when you are out- maybe not organic or whole milk, but something to hold her over.
