How Long did DC have a flat spot on his or her head?

Seamus had a bad flat spot only on the right because he kept sleeping that way. The ped recommended I turn him around in the crib, which I did. I also have the support with the hole cut out for his car seat. While its definately gotten better, its still partially flat on 1 side. He is 15 weeks old now. The ped didnt seem concerned with it last time. She gave me some exercises to do because he was favoring his gaze to one side. He seems much better with that now. And now that he is getting bigger, we sit him up more so he can look around.

DD didn't have this but if your pediatrician isn't worried and it's getting better through the exercises, than I wouldn't worry, it will probably keep getting better with time.

I don't have a lot of experience with this. DS is 16 weeks and thus far doesn't have flat head.

But if you have seen improvement, I am sure it may just take more time to completely correct it.

ETA - you can also try more tummy time to get him off his head.

Definitely keep up with the exercises and rotate his sleeping position. You'll see a difference! The exersaucer was a big help to because it forced him to use all muscles to support his neck in an upright position.

I highly recommend these - our PT recommended them to us. We still use them in the stroller when he sleeps and all the time in the carseat.
