How long did you wait or will you wait?

My OB recommended we wait two cycles before we start trying. I have some ankle issues going on at the moment so I am thinking I will wait for four cycles as that will give my ankle time to hear ( may need surgery so dont want to have to worry about being pregnant).

Just wondering how long you plan on waiting before TTC.

We waited three months, per my doctor.

Mine said 3 months/3 cycles. I am planning to focus on running for the rest of the summer and then my biggest race is in late September so I will switch gears after that I guess.

I will note that the other doctor in my practice said just to wait until after one normal cycle.

Although right now the concept of going through it all again scares me.

I waited 2 months after my 17wk and 8wk losses... After my chemical I was told to only wait a month, but it ended up being about a 2 month wait then too because we did testing and started the IVF process.

I dont want to say "my Dr." because, well, its a long story but I had to see a Dr. that ive never seen....this Dr. told me the rule of thumb is to wait 3 months...I couldnt wait that long. I waited one cycle and now Im TTC again.

3 cycles as per two doctors.

I'm glad I waited (even though it felt like FOREVER) because I don't think I was emotionally ready. I am pregnant now and I still don't know if I'm ready It's not the same the second time around, very scary, I'm on eggshells.

We waited one full cycle, as per my doctor.

Dr said I could try again on the first cycle. I had a chemical pregnancy though.

My dr said to wait one cycle and I'd like to start trying then. Unfortunately DH wants to wait until next year because he doesn't have any time left to take off of work if I miscarry again. With my last miscarriage we waited one cycle and got pregnant on the 2nd cycle.

I had a miscarriage in February and we will hopefully start trying in a few months.

I'm not waiting. My dr knows and said it's fine.

I waited 2 cycles. I was actually planning on waiting 5 cycles but I recently held a baby and that plan went out the window!!!

I barely waited for 1 cycle.

I had 2 doctors tell me 1 cycle was enough. Now that some time has passed I really honestly believe 2 is better, esp if you had a d&C. My periods were crazy and my cramps were terrible for the 1st two cycles afterward. I have to believe something crazy was going on in there, lol.
