How long did your baby sleep in the pack n play
I have the chico one and it says that the bassinet (top) part is up to 15 pounds, that seems so little and I feel like a could keep my son in there longer then that. I like having him in my room next to us and was planning on keeping him in there fore a while longer (he is probably around 14 pounds already at 2.5 months!) I just don't want to to break!!!

None of mine ever slept in the PNP, always went straight into the crib. However, I would follow the weight limit on it. If it says 15 pounds, then its not designed to hold more than that.

DD will be 4 months on the 13th and she still sleeps in it every night (next to our bed). I didn't even realize the weight limit but i'd say she's almost 15 lbs now. I wanted to keep her with us in that for a while longer but I guess I might not be able to... it seems so sturdy though I wonder why the weight limit is so low. I have the chicco one also.

Re: How long did your baby sleep in the pack n play
we had him in a bassinet til 3 months- and the pnp bassinet part at daycare & home too.
yes- the bassinet part comes out at around 15 lbs.... he at 7lbs is still in the bottom part- at daycare they use that up til about 1 year before they switch them to the cot to wean them to the next room up.... I recommend the quilted pnp sheet..... more comfortable and crib like for them.
eta- we totally planned on having him in his crib at 3 months when he outgrew the bassinet. but it was summer time and with the ac we wanted him right next to us so we could hear him ibetter ncase he cried(even though we have the monitors).

Re: How long did your baby sleep in the pack n play
Ann just turned 5 months and still sleeps in the top part of the PNP but seeing as she'll hit the weight limit sooner than later (she is tiny though), I've been putting her in the crib the past two nights.
For me, since I nurse a dream feed in the middle of the night and at 4:30AM when I get up for work, it's easier for me than having to go into her room and get her.

Re: How long did your baby sleep in the pack n play
DS slept in the bassinet part until he was 4 months old. He was 16 lbs 12 oz by that point. We had a one bedroom apartment when he was born so we did not get the crib right away. No room. We have the Graco Deco PNP. i don't remember what the weight limit was. (ETA: just checked it is also 15 lbs)
We moved into a 3 br apt when he was 4 months old. When we moved we did not put the bassinet part back on the PNP. he slept in the regular PNP part at that point. We waited until after we moved to even order his furniture. The furniture arrived when he turned 5 months old.
If we had a bigger apt from the begining we probablt would have had DS sleeping in the crib from day 1.

Re: How long did your baby sleep in the pack n play
We moved DS to the crib around 4.5 months, but he was still slightly under the weight limit. I would stick to that myself--it's a tumble if the bassinet becomes detached. Plus, I would do it sooner if DC is rolling a lot or getting close to sitting, some children do early.

DS was about 4.5 months when he hit the weight limit and then went into the crib.
