How long did your cold last?
For those of you that had bad colds, how long did it last for? I'm going on day 9 and I feel no relief. Still can't sleep. I sound like a monster and my throat hurts still. I called the dr on Monday and basically forced him to write my a prescription. I'm miserable.

For me I had a bad one in the beginning of my pregnancy that lasted a good 2 weeks before I started feeling relief! This time I'm going on a week. I think im starting to feel better.
. I've been using saline spray at night which actually helps un stuff my nose when it's really bad. And I have a cool mist humidifier literally blowing on my face. I'm also probably using about six pillows all around me. I make a wedge pillow so I'm elevated from my waist up.
I had he same thing in my first pregnancy. We just have a lot of extra mucus when pregnant so that makes it worse for us. Hang in there!
Eta: did they test you for strep?

No they didn't test me for anything really. Be just checked my throat and lungs and bc I didn't have a fever ruled it just a cold. I think what's bothering me the most is the fact that I've pulled every muscle from coughing and its very painful when I have to.

I had a terrible cold that lasted almost a month. It was really bad for about 2 weeks but lingered on and off for another couple of weeks. Then once that was better I ended up getting bronchitis. I was a mess for weeks

I had a really bad cold for over 2 weeks. I was so congested and miserable that they finally gave me a z-pack. Those 2 weeks were misery though, I hope you feel better soon!

How long did your cold last?
Had a bad one that I caught in November and wasn't over it until early January. I had another one last week that for the most part is over except for this cough. It sucks because you can't take anything anymore.

well technically im on day 9 of this cold/cough but im on day 4 of antibiotics. the meds aren't helping too much, I cant believe how slow the relief is. day 4 and my throat is still SO bad. I just want to feel good again. Tested negative for strep, but sure feels like I have it. I've never had a sore throat like this before

I had a sinus infection on and off for 9 weeks. Took 3 rounds of antibiotics to kick it finally.

Oh no  Reading this is really bumming me out. I am miserable with a head cold, day 4, and the thought of no relief for more than a week is like 
It's also returned my vomit party to 1st tri levels. I threw up several times yesterday, and started popping Zofran again today in some vague hope that it would actually work this time.

I feel the same. I'm on day 9 today and have not slept. I can't imagine going any longer. I've missed almost 2 weeks of work from this and basically used up most of my time. My chest is in so much pain from coughing and I still have it.

How long did your cold last?
Lets see, I've been coughing since November but its probably not a cold. I got bronchitis on top of it in January, though my GP said it wasn't caused by a cold but rather a sinus infection, and that lasted until they finally put me on antibiotics at the end of January (amoxocillan) but it didn't do away with my cough, just took it out of my chest and it became a less annoying dry cough. Then got another sinus infection last week and bronchitis came back. So as they don't want me to cough the baby out, I am back on Amoxicillan.
