DH and I are leaving for OH on Saturday so I thought I would spend all day Friday baking. I think I want to start sooner.... how long would cookies stay fresh in a Ziploc container? Chat Icon

If you put them in the freezer....months....just in a container....at least a week or two, I would think.

I also read somewhere that if you put a peice of white sliced bread in the container it will absorb most of the air and leave the cookies soft. I do this with brownies and so far it seems to work...the bread is always hard.

I swear by putting bread in cookie tins - it works so well. They will be ok for at least a week this way.
