How long does a newborn have their mother's immunity?
I heard 6 months. Is that correct? If I am immune to the chicken pox, measles, mumps, things of that nature than DS is immune as well until he is 6 mo. or so?

Re: How long does a newborn have their mother's immunity?
It varies, most cases they say 6 mths. My ped told me they start to dwindle by around 4 mths, as the time goes on they decrease. But I have also read studies that show immunities even as long as a year or so (not BF either). HTH
Yes, whatever you were immune to should be passed on.
