How long must a student be in school
for it to count as being present for the day?

It is supose to me at least 4 periods or 3 hours.....

I think as long sa they are attended for in the am it counts as being in school that day. I know a woman that didn't want to mess up her childs perfect attendance so she brought them to school then took them out maybe 20min later ( on a Friday ) and then headed down to Fl.

Hmmmm... I asked emmas K teacher last year but I dont remember. I knowthat on teacher conference day the kids are there for 2 hours... but I somehow remember her saying 1 hour

Do you know if all NYS is the same?
8:15 was start time and different schools have different start and dismissal times so i would suggest calling the school in question and asking the secretary, assist. princ. or principal
