how long would you wait for a call back from the ped
I hate the way Luce's cough sounds. it's is full of mucous and it sounds like he can't catch his breath some of the time, though it only happens sporadically throughout the day.
I did the WORST thing and googled "what does whopping cough sound like"...and it does have a similar quality.
It's been over an hour. how long would you wait?

My ped is at lunch from 12:30-2 (or something like that) so considering the time I'd give it another 1/2 hour or so.
Hope he feels better soon!

I agree. Not more than an hour. It could be croup. Chloe had croup this past December and it was terrible. If the cough is "barky" and he is not struggling to take breaths between coughing fits, that's what they'll probably tell you. You use PSP on PPW? They're pretty good about calling back fast.

jack had that kind of cough and he had bronchitis.
it started as congestion/stuffy nose, then the dry cough, then the full on congestion, loose cough, etc.
i would call back. 1 hour is as long as i would wait.

If they are not at lunch, then the receptionist says either the Dr or NP will call be within 30 minutes
