How many contractors did you get quotes from when remodeling your bathroom?

I think I got 5-6 estimates.

Important information for me was
getting a very specific breakdown of exactly what was and what was not included
how long the job would take
when they could start
who would be on the job site each day (the actual contractor or his workers)
if they are licensed and insured
info re: removal of demolition materials
payment schedule

Four quotes. Who is providing the materials? Will they give you heir contractor discount for materials? Who installs the mirrors, and shower door? Are they a dustless crew? Who is their insurance carrier and will they add you onto their policy for their work at your home. How do they address punch lists items? What do they expect for payment you want 1/3 up front, 1/3 half way and 1/3 after completion. Yes, they included a tub layer that was listed as they would provide with a few other things. It then at the end they said oh you need to pay for this. But it was not in the contract for me to pay. They listed it as an item they would pay for. So I said if you wanted me to pay for it it should have been listed like the other I specifically pay for items. They wanted an extra $1000 at the end. I was mad. I did not pay it.
