How many cycles did you try before your BFP?

Hard to say for us because we were TTC on and off for a while (maybe a year and a half) but I had very irregular cycles so it was always unpredictable as to when we'd get a chance to actually have something happen. I started seeing an RE in September and was put on Metformin. Nothing really was happening the first few months and then on New Year's Eve I went in and it turned out I had an egg. (I had ovulated all on my own.....no Clomid or fertility meds) We had an IUI the following day and plenty of BD'ing and I got pregnant. So I guess technically once the opportunity presented itself we got pregnant on our first try BUT we went through many months and cycles where nothing at all was happening.

I was off BCP for two months-but was not trying - DH was away on business a lot so I really was just getting the BCP "out of my system"
I feel blessed to have become pregnant the first month trying
