How many days for C-Section Hospital Stay
I just got my c-section date and wondering how many days do you usually stay in the hospital for? I am going on November 24 and hope to be home on Thanksgiving Day. I thought it was four days? My friend told me 5 days. TIA!!

I had a scheduled section Friday morning and left Monday morning. So 3 days and 3 nights.

I was in on a Thursday and out on Monday. I could have left on Sunday but Andrew was still in NICU so I chose to stay.

so 3 nights.

I got 4 nights but was outta there after 3. I was feeling better and was basically on my own in terms of taking care of Emerson anyway since I kept her out of the nursery all day so I just wanted to be home where we could relax, get comfortable, and be with daddy.

I milked it and got 4 nights. I also knew that Abby wasn't going home with me, so my doc made it easier for me to stay with her.

I went in Monday night for Cervadil, my DD was born tuesday afternoon and I went home Friday so 3 nights after she was born

I had DD on Thurs and could go home sun or mon. So I would say 4 days.

I had the c/s on Sunday and went home on Wednesday. My doctor said if I wanted to stay another night I could but i just wanted to go home

3 nights sounds good. I just do not want to be stuck in the hospital on Thanksgiving. It would just be so depressing. It would be nice to go home and enjoy and yummy meal in my own home in my pjs!!! LOL

My doctor told me that I could go after 3 nights, but she gave me the option of staying the 4th and having my staples taken out before I left the hospital. If I didn't do that, they I would have had to go into the office 2 days later and have it done. I figured that it would be easier to stay as opposed to having DH drive me to the office with my 1 week old.
If it was Thanksgiving though, I would probably have felt differently

When I had my emergency c-section I gave birth tuesday night and was out friday morning..With my planned c-section I gave birth wed morning and was out friday morning.. This time Im going in on friday and I plan on being out sunday.. Im also not one to stay in if Im feeling good I leave..They usually want you to stay for about 3 nights 4 days if your ok longer if you have issues..

I think it depends on the hospital. At Good Samaritan, it's 4 days.

With ds i went in on the 27th and was discharged the 31...so I was released the 5th day. What hospital? My OB wants to do mine the 25 but I do not want to be in the hospital for thanksgiving so i am hoping he will do it earlier.

me too!
My OB did tell me that if I wasn't feeling well I could stay 1 more night..I felt fine and went home after 3 nights. When I had Hayley, I stayed the 4 nights, the Dr asked me if I wanted to stay since she was in NICU.

4 days with both of my kids, you can go home when you want, but its best to stay the 4 days to recover and get the help you need from the nurses.

I stayed 4 nights. I could have left at 3 nights but I wanted the extra day of rest and the nurse help.

4 days
NOT including the day of the birth
So I gave birth on a Friday Morning at 9:51, and I was out on Tuesday afternoon.
