How many estimates did you get from painters before you picked one?
you *should* get 3 but i've never really gotten more than one. but I also know what the cost should be (used to help someone make estimates) so really I'm just picking based on if I feel they can do a good job.
I would say get 2 and if they seem way different than each other, get a third to feel more comfortable.

just 1. We needed the painting job done right away and most of the companies I called had a long wait time. We liked the company we chose so much we used them again in our new house.
