How many interviews did you have before you got hired?
I got a call for a 3rd interview with the same company. I have never had more than 2, so I was wondering what everyone else has experienced.

this one I only had one interview but met with several people.
I had an interview a few weeks ago and then they wanted a second. I didn't go for it, they annoyed me too much (long story) but I'm sure this place would have wanted a 3rd!

Thats what I said. I got that far along and htought I had it in the bag.
Other than that the most I had was 3 and I got that job

Two at the most.
DH had to go FOUR times because they wanted him to meet with a bunch of people who couldn't get together all at one time.  he got the job though.

did they tell you WHY they didn't hire you after 4 interviews?

that's nuts! but at least he got the job! the job I have now, I got hired after 1, 15 minute interview. it's so strange how different companies do things so differently

For this job, I got offered the position at the second interview. I had to also undergo psychological testing. My prior 2 jobs I got the offer after one interview.

I've had as many as 6 interviews and still didn't get the job and as few as one for 15 minutes and got the job. I got this job after 3- 15 minute interviews. The HR recruiter, the HR manager and then my boss. It depends on how many people have to make the decision.

I had 2 interviews.
Interview #1 - Met with three people in the first. Briefly met my not-yet boss who apologized for not being able to meet with me that day (the person I was replacing was in).
Interview #2 - Met with the HR manager who gave me the background on boss, met with boss who offered me the job & wanted me to shake his hand to seal the deal. I told him I'd take the job but wouldn't shake his hand because I had the flu & didn't want to get him sick.
Offer letter was Fedex'd the next day.

I already worked for my co., i interviewed for another department (which was a big promotion)
I had to interview with the training coordinator, then with two RVPs and the market president (in the same day )
then they said internal candidates would get a call from HR even if they dont get the job - so when the call came that someone on the phone for me from HR i thought I didnt get the job at all..but I did

I had to do 3 --- and it was for that reason too! They couldn't "get together"...
