How many oz of milk does DC drink per day?
Our ped said DS should only be getting about 16 oz of milk per day. Right now DS averages about 20 oz per day (including milk in cereal) and that is after we cut back! I keep trying to cut back but it is hard b/c DS will wake up in the middle of the night hungry! He eats three meals a day in addition and eats pretty good portions - he just loves his milk! Anyway, just wondering what is average (DS is 13 mos).
Also - please include any milk in cereal in the count. Oh and do you give yogurt on top of this? TIA!

my ped said 24 oz - my DD is almost 17 months & is normal size. She doesn't eat yogurt or cheese, though, but he didn't know that when he said it. I thought I had read that 3 cup (24oz) is a full day's amount, including using it in cereal and cooking.

DS is 13 months and our ped said he should be getting 18-20 oz per day. I usually keep him to that with his 3 bottles filled to 6 oz and the rest goes in cereal.
He also usually has 1 YoBaby yogurt a day.

Ped said 16-32 oz per day total dairy. 16 oz is the minimum and 32 oz is the absolute tops. I aim for 24 oz daily.
Right now DS drinks 8 oz, 2 oz, 6 oz, 2oz = 18 oz per day. That's about an average (varies though)
In addition, he will get at least one of the following milk products .... 3 oz in cereal, 4 oz yogurt, 2 oz sliced cheese, 4 oz cottage cheese
some days he gets cereal, yogurt, and cheese ... somedays only cereal so it really varies but I do try to get 24 oz in.
ETA: Ds will be 13 months on the 20th.

At 12 months my pediatrician said 14 - 16 oz per day and to count yogurt and cheese.
DS is 16 months and gets 2 sippy cups with milk (morning and night) and 1 yogurt each day. He gets about 4 oz of cheese 2 - 3 times per week.

DD is 12 months old and drinks around 20-24 oz of soymilk a day. She loves to drink. Our ped said anywhere for 16-24 oz. is fine for her size.
ETA: She eats a yogurt everyday, and cheese pretty often.

My DS is 12 months and the doctor said he should be getting between 18-24 ozs. a day.
ETA: Today was my DS's first day on milk. So far he drank 14 ozs. He will probably have about 6 ozs. more before bed. He also has a Yobaby ever day and eats cheese every day.

My son is almost 14 months...he has 30 ounces of milk..including milk in cereal. He has 3 nine ounce bottles in a day...then 3 ounces of milk in oatmeal for breakfast! BTW..this is still formula bc he is allergic to cows milk.
