How many pounds of shrimp for 4 people?
We are big shrimp eaters. The menu also has baked clams, homemade pierogi, and roasted green beans. Not everyone eats every item, but we all eat shrimp.

ETA: it's 5 people total, but one will not touch shrimp

I would say 2 to 3 pounds of the 16 to 20 count size. I think that's a good size that cooks nicely.

I wouldn't get more than 2 pounds, since you have other food. You could probably get less, but you said you really like shrimp. The 16 to 20 size means there are 16-20 in a pound, so you would get 32-40 pieces, which is 8-10/person.
I sometimes order by the # of pieces but that is usually just for me, so I get 6 or 8 but you probably don't want someone to have to count out 32 pieces.

Good question. For the shrimp dish, I'm making shrimp scampi, but with no pasta.
My family is so picky! My brother has clearly stating that he is only eating the shrimp because clams and calamari have way too much sodium for him.  . My mom won't eat seafood, so the pierogi is for her. My dad, DH, and I are fine with everything.

get 3 lbs.
u can make awesome personal shrimp cocktail if u have martini glasses.
fill the glass with cocktail sauce and hang the shrimp over the rim of the glass. really cute and most ppl dont finish the glass
ETA: dontfill the entire glass with cocktail sauce, just enough to dip. u can also add a lemon wedge
