Once, maybe twice a week. We are close, but if we don't have something to talk about, we don't call each other.
We've spoken about this, and we both agree that if we spoke to each other every day it would drive us nuts.

Months can pass before she calls me. I always have to call her. We are not close and I don't chase after her.
This exactly. I thought i was ok with it because it is what it is..... but I do wish we had a close relationship like it seems that most people do with thier moms

We speak a few times a week, I chose 2 on the poll. She lives in NY, I am in NJ. She likes to stay on the phone for over an hour and I do not have an hour to talk every night. I've tried calling nightly and limiting to 15 minutes lol that didn't work. She likes to gossip and go on and on....I can't talk at work during the day and at night I have a ton of things going on. Sometimes what I do is call on my way home from work in the car (on the bluetooth) and my ride is about 20 minutes so that seems to pacify her lol.

I no longer have a relationship w/her. We havent spoken in about 5/6 yrs. Before we had our falling out we were very close. I would talk to her about 5-10 times a week. Depending what was happening in life, there were times we would talk on a daily basis. I miss having that relationship, especially that I am now a Mommy myself.

Put it this way..........I sent my dh this thread so he can see that I am not abnormal lol. I talk to my mom on the phone on average 3 times a day and she calls every night at 8pm to say good night to dd. It's normal to me. I also have to call eveytime I get home after leaving her house (which is about 3 days a week) to make sure we got home safe lol

0 - I hate her guts and wish she'd die already. I do check FB to see if she's dead at least once a year. Unfortunately, the Bi-tch is still breathing.
My father.. I call him every day as much as I can. Lately its been less since he's in a hospital. But I live for those calls. He's my best friend!
