How many weeks were you when......
You announced your pregnancy on social media? I've always waited until well over 20 weeks,but I have these friends that are posting as soon as the get a BFP on HPT. Is this the new trend?

13 weeks on Thanksgiving this pregnancy.
First pregnancy I also announced on Thanksgiving but I was like 30 weeks then. LOL.

I'm not on FB, but first pregnancy I went public at 13 weeks after my nt scan.
This pregnancy I went public 13.5 weeks when I had nt and verifi results

First PG I was about 20 weeks, with this one I'm 21 and haven't done it. Probably won't make an announcement at all. People IRL know by now so that's all that matters.

Never did. Last time, most people on fb that I don't see regularly didn't know till after DS was born.
This time, I'm 31 weeks and still never announced anything. A few people figured it out by an Instagram pic that I was in, but again, my friends and fam that I see regularly are the only ones I told.

with dd#1 we waited until about 20. I also wanted to announce the gender at the same time. we will wait until close to 20 weeks again with this pregnancy

I think people announcing that early are crazy. They obviously never suffered a miscarriage or had fertility troubles. I felt to many knew before 12 weeks as it was because we'd been suffering from fertility issues so long a lot of people knew we were going through it. I feel like your jinxing yourself telling the world that early. But to each there own I guess. I hope they don't have to go back and tell the world it's over.

I think 13 weeks after the first trimester/ not scan. I don't think there is a right or wrong time, it really depends on the parents to be. Everyone is different and handles things differently...Some people are very open and others more private. Some would like the comfort of many should they have a loss some would like to keep it between close family.

I did at 14-15 weeks. Had gotten Harmony results back that no issues with chromosomal disorders, had 12 week sonogram, all looks good so did it then.

Never used social media for this but did send a mass text to friends and family. People i keep in touch with on facebook are people from high school/ college. I would feel weird posting something like that to people that aren't within my closest circle.
Also, my son's pediatrician miscarried at 6 months- not sure of the details but things like this make me extremely private about what goes on in my private life.

We announced when we were about 14-15 weeks. Started telling friends in person in certain cases from 8 weeks on...depending on the situation. All close friends knew before we posted on social media.

12 weeks for first time
10 weeks this time
but all close friends and family and work all new right awa (4-7 weeks). i really am not a believer in the waiting thing, never was. I was also very sick from 5.5 weeks both times and I was not about to start making up stories.

Again i think this is one of those to each their own. I didn't hide my pregnancy even from day one....that being said I did not shout it from the roof tops either.
IMO who cares when people announce it.

39 weeks, 6 days-- The day she came out of me and my sister posted a pic of her and tagged me.
I wasn't comfortable discussing my pregnancy on FB.

I'm a FTM so i was pretty excited to get the news out on social media just so i didn't feel like i was hiding. That said, i waited till after my NT scan at about 12.5 weeks.
However, i learned a valuable lesson: People are annoying and nosey. I think next time ill try to hold off as long as i can. I can't believe how many coworkers/random friends would come and rub my belly that first week i told everyone. I wanted to scream THERE'S NOTHING TO RUB, GO AWAY!
