How much did you/will you spend on a diaper bag?

I keep eyeing ridiculously expensive diaper bags, upwards of $300 (mainly bags by StorkSak and loving the Tory Burch bag) and I think I need my head examined. (I was thinking of asking for one as an Xmas gift, since I'm due right around Xmas.)

How much is your diaper bag, if you don't mind me asking?

And BTDT moms, do the bags tend to get gross after awhile (therefore, I should not get a fancy designer bag).

I registered for one that's about $70. My dad wanted me to get me a Coach one, but I said no... I figure it's going to get spit-up, diaper cream, baby food, etc on it. But do what works for you. If you want to treat yourself to a fancy bag, go for it!

I got a coach one because it's something I wanted to treat myself to even before I got pregnant. I know the way I am and I plan to use it as a purse and diaper bag, plus since I'm not in NY anymore I'll just be carrying it everywhere and don't have to be worried riding on the subway or buses or anything like I used to.

It was marked $358 but I got it at the outlet mall for $213 (total). I know it's a crazy splurge, but sometimes you need to treat yourself IMHO. Oh, and DH isn't gonna carry it... ever... even if I got the most masculine bag in the world, he wouldn't... he hates holding my purse even when I'm putting on a jacket or something.

I have way too many diaper bags...

I have a
-Kate Spade ($100 at the outlet)
-Coach ($170 at the outlet)
-Vera Bradley ($100, I think...)

And yes, they do get gross and things spill in them. I think I am e-baying the Kate Spade one because it is too small and boxy.

I like the Coach one, but it is heavy, and by the time I fill it with stuff it is REALLY heavy, so I only use that one if we are going somewhere and I want to be "fancy".

I usually use my Vera Bradley one and I love it. It's machine washable and really lightweight. I'm not crazy about the pattern, but I like everything else about it.

With both kids I had 1 big one I used from a baby shower ($40.00) and a smaller Eddie Bauer one ($24.00). I need a new one and I won't spend more than $40.00. But, for me, I don't buy expensive (don't care for them or can afford them) brand name clothing or accessories to begin with. And after having 2 kids and knowing what happens to the diaper bag, I'm more than glad that I didn't spend a lot of money on one. Things leak, get dumped, melt, sticky things, etc. in them. A lot of people will say, oh that will never happen, I did too, but it does when you least expect it to. I would hate to ruin something that cost a lot of money.

I have a million diaper bags!! I had a coach one but I just exchanged it for a newer one to use for both DD and DC..a vera bradley one..an ecko red..a backpack..and another brand that I can't remember the name!! I love bags..obviously!! But in my defense..I use them all!!

It was the diaper bag I used for DD however the pattern was discontinued and I ended up finding it at Big Lots by chance. I'm kinda wishing I bought 2.. lol

with DD I *thought* I NEEDED an expensive name brand bag but I quickly realized that my graco diaper bag was just fine. Being tossed around the car, in shopping carts, holding dirty clothes, bottles spilling, food spilling...etc. I would have FREAKED if I had gotten a "nice" diaper bag...lol

I have a petunia picklebottom bag which cost about $170 and a LV bag which I will use as a diaper bag which cost abotu $800. I was going to pay for the LV bag but my mom ended up getting it for me as a gift.

I am prob the crazy one, but I am getting a designer Diaper Bag.

The way I look at it is, I willl not really be wearing my nice purses anymore & my diaper bag will be it! So I would like a designer one to carry around with me.

I figured it will be a Anniversary gift.

If spending the amount isn't going to be a financial burden.... Then I say go for it!

I got DH a Diaper Dude one that was around $100 and I have a Vera Bradley one that I just got for $80.

Did I want to go out and get an LV one , sure, but there was no way I was doing it.

I got the Petunia Picklebottom for Target one for 50 bucks. I wouldn't spend more than that on a diaper bag, although I think the expensive ones are super cute. I just can't rationalize spending that much money on a bag.

i got the storksak emily bag on clearance @ BBB. i used a 20% off coupon - it came out to $110.


my dh got a diaper dude bag that was $99.

I got a Skip Hop diaper bag. I think it was $80-$90. I got it at my shower.
