how much did your baby eat at 2-3 weeks?
bc my baby is tongue-tied, he is unable to latch unto my breast, so i have been pumping. however, i have to supplement with formula bc i cannot keep up with him! he is eating 4 oz every 3 1/2 hrs...isnt that a lot?? he is becoming such a chubbster lol
(he is 2 weeks and 3 days today)
anyone remember what their baby was eating at that age?

My DD is 3 1/2 weeks old and she can sometimes polish off 5 or 6oz . She eats every 3 hours also. I say if he wants it, give it. It's better that he's eating than not.

My DS is tongue tied also, and he was eating 6ozs every three hours - but he was also almost 10lbs at birth. HTH

Emma was eating around 3 oz at that age.
Do you plan on getting his frenulum cut?
DD was tongue tied and no one said anything until he was around 2.5years old. I didn't didn't know there was such a thing until my grandma mentioned it. And then I realized that was why he would only take flat to flatt nipples instead of round. He had surgery around age 3 to cut the frenulum. It really had an impact on his speech and articulation though and I'm rather dissapointed that the ped. never said anything (and that I never noticed).

DD is 12 days and drinks 3-4 oz every 4 hours or so.

we met with an ENT last week who said that while DS's tongue-tie is "moderate to severe" he doesnt recommend we do anything before DS is 4-6 months if he is continuing to gain weight. we are meeting with another ENT this week to get a second opinion.
thanks for all the responses. i am definitely reassured...i thought DS was eating way too much, but thankfully i see that it is normal!!
