How much do you pay per month for your gym?

I am a member of a really nice gym here in NJ. I pay month to month b/c I didn't want to commit to a year. Anyway, I pay $99/month, but with taxes it comes out to $106 or something. This is high, right? The gym is like something you would find in NYC....what do the NYC girls pay? Just wondering what the going rate is.

I don't live in NYC anymore but about 2 years ago, I used to pay around $135/mth for Equinox which is one of the nicer gyms. I think NYSC was about $75/mth or so.

LA Fitness was $50/month here in Nassau

NYHRC...my company pays and the corporate rate is $1,000 per year.

I go to Crunch on 59th and 2nd. I pay $99 a month and I get to use all the Crunch gyms in the US basically.

i pay $50/month at LA Fitness plus $90/month for 3 training sessions monthly.

I've had my membership since 1993 and I pay $12.oo a month.

I am not in the NY area, but I pay about $30 (not sure about the exchange rate) a week. Yes, it goes by week here.

Gyms are so expensive, like everything else, here. But to be fair my gym specializes in the Pilates reformer classes and Yoga. There are about 7 Pilates reformer classes offered every day and about 4 yoga classes. There is also a pool and your regular gym equipment. Spin classes, kickboxing etc classes are also offered, but not as many as Pilates and yoga. The price also includes memberships in their three clubs in Sydney, which works for me b/c throughout the week I work around the city.

When I was in the city, I was at Equinox. This was abbout $135. Now, I belong to a club and pay about $140 a month, but it is a full- service health club with free babysitting and amazing amenities.

Im a memeber of LA Fitness and i love it. I signed up w/ their presale and i only pay $50 a month.

oh, BTW - you can TOTALLY talk LA Fitness down.

I went in there and told them ahead of time I only pay $99 a YEAR for Ballys.

THey told me it was $65 a month, with $150 initiation fee. I literally laughed out loud and said they were crazy.

The manager came over and said $49 a month and $75 initiation fee. Still way more than Ballys, but a lot lower than the first offer.

I paid $150/month at Equinox in NYC.

Here in ATL my gym is not as nice but a quarter of the price.

My gym recently had a special where you could lock in a monthly price of $55 for as long as you're a member of the club. What a deal! Assuming I don't move out of town anytime soon, I'll be paying $55 a month, even in, like, the year 2025. That's probably how much a gallon of gas will cost then.

$12 per month at Bally's...makes me feel okay that I spend the money and haven't walked into the gym in months!!!

I pay $25 a month, I'm locked into that rate for the life of my membership. The gym is big and offers about 40 classes a week, I think it's a great price.
